Growing up on Cincinnati’s west side, Kelly Wittich did not regularly attend arts events with her family. A school bus trip to Music Hall changed that.
She remembers the scale of the place, the performers and the feeling of being transported somewhere entirely new.
That opportunity still shapes how she thinks about access. Without the school trip, she might not have encountered the arts in that way at such a young age. She wants other children to have the chance to discover what captures their imagination.
Her own exploration has continued through ArtsWave. The Women’s Leadership Roundtable connected her with women who share a commitment to Cincinnati, while the Flow series introduced her to performances and artists she might not have sought out on her own.
A financial advisor, Kelly often considers the meaning of legacy. She and her husband, Bill Montague, chose to include ArtsWave in their estate plans because they want the community they love to thrive for future families.
To Kelly, caring for family also means caring about the city in which families will live. Her gift helps carry forward the opportunities that first opened a bigger world to her, close to home.
